Rep. Waxman discusses FDA, health reform at Prescription Project conference

Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA), incoming Chair of the Committee on Energy and Commerce, addressed the Prescription Project conference in Washington D.C. yesterday about his plans to make health reform a top priority, and to keep oversight as a key tool in guiding legislation and industry reform, including his support to extend the FDA's authority to halt some DTC ads on new drugs on a case-by-case basis.
